Superior Moves (Guitar Lead)

Here's a Casiopea-inspired jazzy lead from Superior Moves. It's not as hard as it sounds, but the theory is pretty weird.

As far as the techniques go, pay close attention on which notes to slide into. Other than that, apply some nice vibrato to the longer held notes. Two little vibrato tips: don't start doing it until about halfway through the note's duration. Also, most people tend to do vibrato too fast so definitely err on the side of keeping the rate a bit slower.

Vibrato might be a boring technique to practice but it might be the single most important factor on how pleasing your playing sounds to the listener.

The chords are as follows: A13 - C13 - Ebm7 - Gb13 - Db7 - C7 - B7. Why do they work together? I don't know. But they sound cool!

As always, drop questions down below and the downloadable TABs are attached.

Enjoy!

So my theory (heh) on the jazzy chord sequence is that there's a mix of chords that either share several chord tones with the previous chord or has chord tones that move down by half steps. Regardless of how the analysis works, playing the music with confidence is 100% how to make jazz work! This part is such an interesting sequence, thanks for the lesson!

*counts on fingers* Mr. Sir Lord Robot, are we short a lesson this month?

Ohhhhh, this is SO pleasing to my ear. I really like playing around with vibrato, so this is 100% My Type Of Post! Definitely trying this one out later :)
