This part is a loosey goosey one. The right hand/rhythm is very much an improvised thing which subtlety changes for every repetition. This concept can't really be taught, but rather it's something that comes over time with lots of experience and practice playing rhythm guitar.

There's a guy on YouTube 'JustNickMusic' who makes some pretty cool 30 minute funk play alongs. That might be a decent place to start learning.
