Feels Pretty Good (Intro)

Here's a quick and fun one. 8 notes total. As long as you can barre your 1st finger, you're ready to go!

For any new players, there's a similar concept here called 'arpeggios' - which is when you pick any chord 1 note at a time. You can do this with any chords you know, and it will always sound great. It tends to give things a soft intimate sound when compared to strumming which is very upbeat and energetic.

Also - heads up that I posted a new shred lord tier video today on Somewhere Out There - any shred lords so go check that out today too!

I'll probably cover the verse/main second of Feels Pretty Good soon, so stay tuned!

TAB is attached.

i listened after reading this and damn it's smooth!

please do more feels pretty good!! Such a sweet tune. Amazing video as always!

Yeah that's right. One thing I should mention is be careful not to 'sweep' across the strings in a single wrist/arm motion. Instead make sure each picking motion is a distinct motion. That also helps with consistency and timing.

Yeah I predicted you would have a new guitar, so I thought I would post this today. Congrats!

What a fabulous lesson, there's so many things to take away from it! Thanks for the tips on effects and the chord shape too! Are you downpicking everything for consistency?

Love this!! It's such a lovely calming sound--totally the kind of thing you could almost use for a meditation, I feel. Just zone out and let your fingers do the work. On the topic of imagination, you pack SO much of that into your EPs--Destiny and Ice Crystal in particular paint such a vivid picture. They also work amazingly together, I discovered recently! Destiny going straight into Ice Crystal on shuffle was an incredible transition.

Your timing!! I just got my first electric guitar and said to a friend I wanted Feels Pretty Good to be my first (ambitious) song to try! I was able to muddle my way through the very beginning and a few of the proceeding chords so I’m looking forward to you digging into it.

You just made my morning posting this. I love your tracks in this song.
