Generous Dimensions (Verse)
Added 2019-10-10 20:07:37 +0000 UTCHere's a little piece of 6-String Theory for you. As everyone knows, there are 6 Generous Dimensions in the known universe, one for each guitar string.
This one starts off with the same chord shape The Hit (Chorus) began with. It's one of my favourites. If you have a guitar with a whammy bar, you can try out the lil' dips - that's right, lil' dips.
In between the big whammy bar chords there's some palm muted power chords. Lift your left hand after each note to tighten things up. Also, really dig in here, this riff is all about attitude.
The overall vibe of this guitar part was inspired by the band Cameo. They like to juxtapose funky grooves with tough guy distorted guitars. Watch the music video for Candy and your life will improve!

Super late on this one, but I finally remembered to watch the Candy video, and that definitely did improve my night! Sooooo 80s and fun! :)

2019-10-18 02:12:56 +0000 UTCTry to learn a few scale shapes and chords, and practice them repeatedly them until they're second nature. This repetition will help you play more accurately over time.
