Whats to come for patrons...

One extremely valuable lesson I learned from Owl House was problem solving. With the shortening came a tidal wave of story problems that needed solutions FAST. Even within writing a single episode something that may work in an outline may pose an unforeseeable issue in script or boards. That's just how it is sometimes! Of course in the case of a TV show that has already aired there's very little you can control, very little you can change, and NO moment where you're allowed to catch your breath and switch gears. "Okay that 20 episode promise turned into 6 so the script I wrote for episode X which is due in two days needs a page one rewrite and the schedule can't be shifted and and and--" You get the point.

But I can't deny that there were moments of immense satisfaction when we figured out the perfect solution. Or when we came up with something BETTER than what was originally planned. Not everything landed, it happens, but the process became an exciting learning experience and despite the complicated circumstances I grew to enjoy those challenges.

Because of that I've been interested in doing a Choose Your Own Adventure with you - the patrons! Writing on the fly and taking any challenge you throw my way to make a cohesive and entertaining story featuring my longtime OC - Shark... Girl. Sharky. I'll come up with a name eventually haha.

Right now I'm thinking I'd upload some comic pages every week till it gets to a "choice" page and post a poll with wildly different ways the story can go. And we can just... See where it goes together! I have some characters and the tone of the story in mind but the journey of it will be a fun discovery. I think.

I only follow a few accounts on patreon so I'm curious if anyone's done this before. Or if any of you have suggestions on how to make this a smooth process.

I really wanna treat this as a low-stress, fun experiment, and I think doing it here would be the best option for that (with the eventual public release, after the story is complete or a chapter is complete).

I'm aiming to start this within the next month, I hope you'll join me!
