Carol and the End of the World & new stream date!

Here's some Visdev I did for Carol and the End of the World on Netflix! If you haven't watched it yet please do yourself a favor and look it up! Although my part in this production was EXTREMELY small and short-lived it was a very cathartic assignment. I believe I was reached out to in 2021, during the worst of lockdown for me, and I got the script for the first episode as reference to draw the character. It was beautiful, and quiet, and stressful, and melancholy - it validated every emotion I had been feeling for the last year in isolation. So happy to see the show finally come out.

There were already a lot of wonderful designs done, and I think Dan (the creator/showrunner) just wanted to see my take on the character. I'm not a terribly creative character designer. At some point I stop thinking in shapes and lean on old crutches like adding more clothing folds or bags under characters' eyes haha. One of the reasons I make a better animator or board artist, if someone else can design em, I can move em! Gotta know your strengths.

I've finally stopped coughing! Thank you for understanding while I moved the last one. Link will be posted day of and I will be referencing the previous $5 tier post for doodle requests! But any tier can join the stream itself of course. I'll be challenging myself to draw those things with no underdrawing. But maybe a little erasing (I am weak).
