SKETCHBOOK: Monsters from the vault

It started with making my own Pokemon, then I went through a dragon phase, a couple dinosaur phases, and then a big body horror phase in the past four years. I have to admit, it's hard to keep up because I find myself repeating shapes and once a subject becomes familiar I become anxious to learn something new. Ironically I think that keeps me from growing in many ways, but my drawing habits have changed so much since 2018 when I began showrunning I have to cut myself some slack. It's nice, though, looking back on these and knowing I was having fun.

Yo! I love these, they're horrifying. Also I actually met ya at the Honolulu Comic Con! I was the dude with an owlbert shirt who talked about how your art (the creepy stuff mostly) inspires monsters in my dnd game. These are no exception, I love the horror/eldritch vibes of this kinda stuff.

The reason it's so hard to craft original monster designs is because of how limited the scope of human understanding and imagination is. The reason so many fictional beasts have tentacles, from slime creatures to Lovecraftian Old Ones, is because of how alien we find those attributes, but then they're repeated so much as to become cliché.

I truly feel like you'd shine in a project like that with no, or almost, no limits to how messed up one could go with anything both visually and story wise.
