Added 2023-10-09 15:42:19 +0000 UTCThe only sketch I did of the whole gang! Sometimes I just like bunching characters together to see how they look in the same space.
I never nailed down a story BUT I had these musings that they all knew each other from childhood and wound up at the same boarding house. It was around the time I was reading a lot about body snatching and grave robbing during the late 1800s/early 1900s. I imagine Sylvia, Theo, and Rosalie getting caught up in some shady business and having to hide it from their house-mate Ajay, a newly appointed detective, and a town run amok with steam-powered corpses!
Where did the powers come into play? Hadn't gotten that far! There were a lot of competing ideas, but I just liked the mood.
I had begun drawing maps and ideas for their industrial-fantasy world but it just wasn't the right time. I was too burnt out from TOH to figure anything out. In any case, I still like these guys and think about them often.

The late 1800s & early 1900s and the transition that like, education and industry was in at the time is a rich place to explore with macabre designs. I hope these designs find life in some story or thematic statement or something. Also, I am obsessed with Rosalie's hair

You could mix genre and do like alien germ or something like that where the thing their hiding is they found a ufo and broke one of the things in there that spread this virus that caused them to get powers Or you could go a more on genre route with mad science or dark magic. I really hope I’m not I overstepping by suggesting theses! You’re drawings and ideas are just so awesome and I get excited and neurodivergent word vomit happens. But if I am overstepping, please tell me so I know not to do it again.

Already a huge fan of steampunk aesthetic bots, add some flesh onto them and you can get some excellent flesh/mechanical body horror. Just got a big ole mouth on the back of a bot where a vent is, constantly bellowing steam, or a meat hand that can iris open into a gun, or a robot face with flesh bits just taped onto it in hopes of appearing human. Excellent vibes, excited to hear more about this world!
