COMPASS OF TRUE LOVE - CHAPTER 9
Added 2025-04-23 17:45:27 +0000 UTCChapter 9: I’m pretty sure this was a date. I mean we did a bunch of things that people do on a date like cute stuff and also lewd stuff.
“So Sephie. How did my dream invader end up invading my real life as well?” Nydia gave me a teasing smirk, before taking another sip from her colourful drink.
We found ourselves a table in the corner of the room and she ordered me a colourful drink similar to her own. Although hers was yellow and red while mine was yellow and green.
“Honestly, I didn’t know I was going to find you. I’m still pretty shocked,” I answered as calm as I could. The drink definitely helped. “I was looking for someone and I knew how to find them. When I got here, I thought it was the knight at first.”
Nydia raised an eyebrow and my heart jumped a little. Gosh this woman was pretty. She took another sip of her drink and then spoke up again. “What were you trying to find me for then? I’d think it was because you didn’t get that kiss in before you vanished, but since you didn’t know it was me…”
A blush crept over my face and I cringed slightly. Was I that obvious in my dream? And how would I answer that question? I didn’t want to talk about the compass. It felt kind of… pathetic that I relied on an artefact to find love. I have no idea how I would even bring that up? ‘Hey Nydia by the way, we are destined to love each other. Wanna kiss?’ Fuck no. That would creep her out so much.
She probably doesn’t even like girls. Not that I was gay or anything. She was just… very pretty. And apparently my true love. But that’s just because of how pretty she is. Everyone would fall in love with a girl like that. Right?
“Sephie? You still there?” Nydia’s words shook me out of my thoughts again. Oh right. Is till need to answer her. What the hells do I even say?
“It’s complicated. And embarrassing. What are you in the city for?” I knew she only arrived here a day or two earlier than me, but I didn’t want her to know that I could track her just yet.
“I’m trying to get to the south. Rizishma or Eletheo. It’s a long story, but I ran into some trouble up north and the south is a lot friendlier.” She took another sip from her drink and looked down onto the table thoughtfully.
Part of me wanted to ask what happened. But if she wanted me to know she would have said it. And with me keeping a lot of stuff from her I had no right to pressure her on the matter.
We quietly sipped our drinks for a while as things felt a little awkward. I didn’t really know what to say right now. And so did Nydia probably. She only looked back up when the white cloaked knight stepped away from the bar and shot a mean glance over to our table, before stepping out the door.
“What was that all about?” I murmured. Nydia looked back towards the door for a moment and frowned.
“He’s probably not all too happy I stood him up so I could talk to you.” There was a faint smirk crossing her face. Wait wait wait. She stood him up? As in: They were on a date? And she decided to just… leave him. To talk to me. I mean. She was my fated lover and all, but I didn’t expect her to like me or anything.
“That’s… really nice. Thank you, Nydia,” I said sheepishly. She raised her eyebrows and her smirk turned into that signature sharp grin of hers.
“Well that’s very serious of you Sephie,” she laughed. She quickly finished the last sip of her drink and put a couple of coins on the table. “Come on Sephie, I’ve got a nice place for us to visit.” She grabbed my hands to pull me up and dragged me out of Parzival’s.
After a few minutes we reached the edges of the Grand Market. I still remembered touring this place with my classmates. Especially during summer break this market was bustling with traders from all over the continent. Some even came all the way from the continent of Illyria with all sorts of exotic foods and spices.
Nydia pulled me even closer and began trailing westwards before promptly stopping. She turned to me and looked me over for a moment. “Sephie. How long were you on the road?”
What? “A couple of days, why?” Nydia fluttered her eyes, which immediately spiked my heart a little.
“Cuz you smell like horse… And blood. Change of plans, we’re going to Nautique first.” Ouch. To be fair I did take a bath on my way here. I just didn’t expect to run into a horde of goblins and all that entails.
Instead of dragging me west she dragged me north through the centre of the market. Going to Nautique didn’t sound all that bad to me, though. Nautique was one of the riverside districts that sat at the north of the city. It was also the district that Cassie and I wanted to meet up in tonight.
It took us about half an hour to the place Nydia wanted to take me. On our way we passed the massive temple of Ilu, God of Light and a small temple to Morlan, God of Water. The building in front of us was a lot more modest than the two temples. Nydia gave me a soft smile as she dragged me into the bathhouse. A quick conversation with the halfling lady at the counter later we found ourselves at a large stone pool.
The water was warm enough to cover the open air with a thin layer of steam and I felt my entire body relax the moment I slipped inside. Nydia slipped in a few minutes after me and I tried my best not to stare. I already glanced over her once or twice when we were undressing and her body made my tummy do backflips. She had wide hips but a slender waist. Her breasts were almost flat, but she had wide almost-black nipples. I couldn’t help but notice they were a little hard as she slipped into the water.
After settling in she leaned her shoulder against mine and spoke up softly. “I gave our clothes into the wash. They should be dry in an hour.” Feeling the warmth of the water was already an amazing feeling on its own. Feeling the warmth of her body against mine was even more amazing. For a moment I even felt a little lightheaded, but the feeling passed after I got used to her presence.
I glanced over to her. The usual ladylike persona was gone and there was just a normal girl like any other left. Her eyes fluttered over to me and that vulnerable look on her face again. “You really are adorable, Sephie, you know?” she muttered.
My heart raced again. Her gaze was still fixed on me. I felt my mind cloud over again. The booze from earlier probably didn’t help much. Was this an invitation? I still wanted to kiss her badly. I hadn’t forgotten the moment we had back in our dream. She had that same look on her face that time. And from today I knew she knew that I wanted to kiss her.
The slashing of water pulled me out of my thoughts. She shifted slightly and wrapped her arm around my shoulder. Her eyes fluttered down over my body and then back up again. Fuck she was pretty. I really wanted to kiss her right now.
Her other hand slipped out of the water and cupped my cheek. My face must be entirely flushed red at this point. I gulped, then asked shakily “Nydia… can I… kiss you?”
She breathed in sharply. Then I felt her hand pull me in closer. She leaned in as well and I felt her body press against mine. I quickly closed my eyes. Holy fuck this is happening. A moment later I felt her lips brush against mine. They were soft and warm. It was only a small peck. Then the warmth faded again.
I opened my eyes and her face was right in front of me. Most of her body was still pressed up against me. My heart was racing even faster and I felt a lustful hunger spread from my tummy all the way between my legs. I wanted more. I slowly slipped a hand around her waist and trailed the other over her neck. Her heart was racing just as much as mine.
This time I leaned in slowly. Our eyes fluttered shut and our lips brushed again. But this time I didn’t let her go so easily. I pushed in further and our chaste kiss turned into a lustful mess. It didn’t take long for her tongue to press up against my lips and I happily let her slip inside.
I quickly learned that it was not only very long, but that she had a lot of control over it as well. At some point it felt like she was almost throat fucking me with it.
I had no idea how much time had passed by the time we released each other. We were both panting heavily and the makeup on her lips and around her eyes was smeared.
“That was amazing!” I panted. She grinned at me again and nestled her head into my shoulder.
“Yea that was hot,” she replied. Her voice was muffled from my shoulder. “We could have probably waited until we were alone somewhere. I’m pretty sure we gave quite a show to the other guests.”
I quickly turned my head, much to the protest of the girl in my arms, and spotted the three other guests that were trying their best not to stare at us too much. Oops. At least we didn’t go too far. I think. I blushed again as I thought about what would have happened if we didn’t just stop at making out. Wait Sephie stop. Why are you thinking about that kind of stuff with another girl? Get a grip on yourself. Or maybe get a grip on Nydia. Wait no. Fuck.
I promptly heaved myself out of the pool. “I think I’ve had enough of a bath for now,” I blurted out to Nydia. She pouted a little but got out after me. I tried to hide my blush as best as I could while we made our way over to the wash. Our clothes were already washed and dried and Nydia left a small tip at the counter of the bathhouse before we slipped outside.
The sun had already gone down by now and I started to wonder where Nydia was staying. Then I remembered Cassie. Fuck. I should definitely check up on her.
“So uh, Nydia. I kind of arrived at the city with a friend of mine and we promised to meet back up at the ‘Azurite Inn’ here in Nautique.” Nydia gave me a thoughtful look for a moment.
“Sure, let’s go over there. Do you know the way?” she asked.
“Mostly, yea. Where are you staying by the way?” I really hoped it wouldn’t be too far away. I kind of wanted to meet back up with her as quickly as possible tomorrow.
“I was staying at Parzival’s but I think I’ll stay at the Azurite for tonight.” She threw me that signature sharp smile again and my heard made another backflip. Were we going to share a room? My heart started racing and I felt a blush creeping over me again as I thought about all that would mean.
We found the Inn alright, although we got lost once. It wasn’t even that far away from the bathhouse. I looked around the common room for Cassie, but she wasn’t there. Maybe she had already gotten a room and turned in? So I decided to ask the innkeeper. It turned out Cassie left a message with her.
She already got a two-bedroom for us and told the innkeeper to let me in when I arrived. The room was cosy and the beds looked comfortable. They were slightly larger than my bed back in Tumblewood and one of them had a bundle of sleeping Cass inside.
After a few whispers we quietly closed the doors. I took off my shoes, coat and pants and slipped under the covers. Nydia only took off her shoes and pants. She still wore that blue top and the lacy panties from our dream.
She climbed into the bed as well and cuddled up to me. Our hair was still a little wet from the pool, but our bodies were nice and warm. She buried her head between my breasts and I wrapped my arms around her. We fell asleep a few minutes later.
