Modding Diary - Read Together/Read to Baby

Hope you all are well.😍
This week I finalized the "belly hug" interaction and created a couple of moodlets for both the pregnant sim and their partner. They will only get moodlets if they want the pregnancy and do not have the "hates children" trait.
here's two of the moodlets for the pregnant sim (there are 6 in total, 2 for each trimester)
and here's two of the moodlets for the partner sim
This week I also started working on the "read together/read to baby" interaction 😏, keep in mind this is still a work in progress, I think I need to do more tweaking so that pregnant sim look less awkward.
but here is what I have so far:
Sims will get on the bed
they will move closer to each other
the pregnant sim will pull out a book
and lean back into her partner's arms
and they will start reading
and that's all i have for now.
I want to make it so that sims can read any book together, and both sim can gain skills if they are reading a skill book, theoretically it should be possible.
here's a behind the scenes photo from earlier today when something wasn't working which caused my sims to read a sponge instead of a book 🤔

Can I ask/suggest you to make one that I've always wanted to see in game but the basegame didn't really helped at all? It's something alike the interaction of "feeling baby bump" from basegame, but it lasts longer and the partner actually interacts with the belly properly, like talking to the baby and its mom/carrier, belly smooches and rubs and surprised with kicks moodlet maybe? Thank you already for such amazing animations!! Since ive met your mods, literally cannot play without them

2023-04-30 19:12:47 +0000 UTCHi lovely you do such great work! I was just wondering, if I change how long the sim is pregnant for in WW (from 3 days to 14 lol), will this mod account for that? Like for example, the mod explanation says to do certain things in the 2nd trimester. Will this mod understand when my sim’s 2nd trimester is if the base amount of days has been altered, so like itll start at 4ish days instead of 2 like usual? Thanks so much, I’m sorry if this was confusing 😭
