Modding Diary- Bed Cuddle

Hi guys!
I hope you all are well! This week I worked on the bed cuddle interaction.
This interaction can be performed after your sim is in the second trimester. and it is an interaction that allows your sim to share a special moment with their romantic partner.
Initially I wanted the interaction to look like this
but then I realized I wont be able to make the partner sim rest their head right on top of on the pregnant sim's stomach because they cant detect how big the stomach is using their head. So I had to make some changes to the animation. And here is what I have.
Keep in mind this is a work in progress, you will see some clipping but it will be fix in the final animation
both sims will get on the bed
they will lie down face to face
they will rest their heads together
They will share a kiss
and they will share some pillow talk while looking at the pregnant sim's belly
and that's all I have for this interaction.
Next week I will finish this animation and take a few days to look into the bug that's causing the midwife to not show up in some people's game. I have a much better chance at fixing it now because I was able to get my hands on a save that allowed me to reproduce the bug. So hopefully an update will come out some times next week to fix this issue once and for all! 🥰

2022-11-22 02:10:53 +0000 UTCThanks for that great preview, Pandasama. One question: might it be possible to make the homebirth interaction on the bed useable for friends or non-romantic family? In a challenge like the ultimate decades challenge where you play through medieval times it would be completely unheard of of a husband assisting the birth. It would be female members of the family assisting. The kiss could be given on the forehead maybe? Anyway, have a great week and take care.

2022-11-21 11:49:45 +0000 UTCHi yes! Perfect so excited. As for the midwife, my sim tried to have a home birth but the midwife never showed up. I hope the bug gets fixed :) I never had any issues before this last update !

This is right in line with 2 other general purpose mods I adore, Pillow Talk v2 (repair of Shimrod's original) by Soulsbourne Enthusiast and Bed Cuddle by ThePancake1. Interactions like this are my absolute favorite. Thank you so much for your hard work and all the wonderful things you are adding to the game 😊. I'm guessing this is gonna be ready just in time for my Gen 7 boys to have their babies, and I cannot wait!!
