watermark yes or no

Hello dear Fans.

So I've been thinking. And would like to share them with you and later would need your votes. I have noticed that the last posts from my Patreon were not uploaded to the other site. I assume that one of my Patreons read the post about stealing and interrupted the upload. That's a good thing. I guess if he set that, he didn't do it in bad faith and he didn't know that you shouldn't do that. I have not publicly asked that people may not upload anything from Patreon. Therefore, the bit was also my fault and I think it's good that it happened. I learn something. This has shown me something. A problem which could be even worse. So it's good that my Patreon no longer does the upload and hopefully it stays that way. Because of this I am not angry with him.  But imagine that someone, despite my request that you should not upload anything without my permission somewhere, will do that. That would bother me a lot.

So I want our fan community to have a place of refuge where we are among ourselves. And everything we can write what we want, within reason. For one thing is manageable for me, I have control what I show the public. And on the other hand also the privacy of the fans and me would like to preserve. Because it makes no sense if the Patreons support the whole thing and spend their time for me and my work, and the others get everything for free, because some side has the opportunity to steal everything.And can see everything we write. I don't want the fans to lose their exclusive value. And have the status to see things in front of others and not lose their and my privacy. This is important to me. After all, you pay time for it in the form of money.

That's why I came up with the following idea. I could watermark all my future stuff. So that it is distributed over the image. And everyone who steals it will be revealed as a thief when he uploads it somewhere. I know it's not a real solution against theft and privacy breach, but I think it will deter some people to steal the stuff. And when I'm done with the project I will upload everything again without watermark. And then everyone can share as he wants, I even welcome that. I have nothing against, but not before I have given an ok. Because sometimes I notice some mistakes that I improve later, and if that is uploaded in between on the Internet, flies is there unfinished. And the privacy with privileges status of the fans, in the Patreon comutnity is important to me.

I have now made two examples of how a watermark might look. I would then build all the time in the pages, that will interfere a bit. But will possibly deter the sites from taking the stuff from me and even want to make money with it. Because where I have seen my stuff, the site has had donation accounts so that people donate money. And that would hurt me mentally and financially, for example. Because I'm not a big corporation that can just put things like that away, or solve them with lawyers. I am a small person who tries with my art to change my life and to give you joy.

But if the watermark would bother you, I can also understand. Because that would also be strange for you, if you pay money and get such a dirty page with watermark. And that could still deter the new fans to become a Patreon. And they will ask themselves, what is this shit with the watermark. But I will also include that in my welcome text this topic and explain why I do that.

So you could decide what is better for you. I do not privilege either answer, each has its advantages and disadvantages. Just vote on what you like better, I'll be happy with anything. I want you to vote what is better for you.

And if something doesn't work out, we can always improve later.
