2025-04-13 16:25:33 +0000 UTCDo you guys know about the recent (well maybe not that recent) protest from the doctors in south korea because the government decided to support more med scholarship so more people could attend med school? Yes, they did a protest because they think that being a doctor is a prestigious title that not everybody could do it. Also, if there are a lot more doctors, their pay is also getting reduce, and their title is not so prestigious anymore. So they do a protest and even refuse treating patients if they don't follow their demand. It was crazy. It is also one of the reason that a lot of medical drama get postponed (one of it is resident playbook) because how angry the public is to those doctors. It is shameful really. But you know the bad doctor in this drama that's rejecting the patient because of money and reputation issue is not such a far stretch from reality.
