Hospital playlist isn't like this at all, it's different type of medical drama, it doesn't focus on surgeries or technical stuff , it's about relationships between doctors and patients, how doctors navigate through work and their personal lives. Sometimes I think it shouldn't even be called medical drama (eventhough everything revolves around that field) it's much more slice of life genre

2025-03-16 14:59:38 +0000 UTCYes, I see all the Hospital Playlist people too. I watched both seasons. It was mediocre drama. For me, it was just like ER and definitely not as good as 1st season of The Good Doctor. I like this one more, probably cuz it's so dramatic.

2025-03-12 01:46:34 +0000 UTCFunny Thing is, on the scene when Dr. Baek entered the hospital, there was a call scene to Dr. An Jeong Won from the Pediatric Division. That's a shout out for Hospital Playlist's Character, played by the samurai guy in Mr. Sunshine. And hospital playlist is a slice of life hospital theme drama, so not so much blood scene. It was a good healing / education show, wrapped up in comedy. The director is the same with Reply Series + Prison Playbook😂😂

2025-03-11 23:17:09 +0000 UTCThe main character is actually based on the famous Dr.Lee Gook-jong, who is respected by many people in s.korea, and the webtoon/novel writer for this drama is also a doctor Dr.Lee NakJun. Since Korea has only a few departments that doctors aspire to (income, preference), this drama seems to show the harsh reality of a trauma center.

2025-03-11 20:54:03 +0000 UTCthis show kind of makes it seem like colorectal surgery( anus) is not good but guys these are the surgeons who do surgeries for cancers of colon, rectum anything involving the lower intestine and things like piles and anal malformations, fistulas and sooo many other diseases that need surgery of lower gastric tract that otherwise become very fatal to the pt, they do many laproscopic procedures also - its not BBLs that's done by plastic surgeons

2025-03-11 19:14:15 +0000 UTCguys residency is where doctors learn and it is done by learning from live pts only either surgical or in the medical wards -thats how jnr doctors learn the pts are usually stable when we are doing this, in surgery everything is done in a very controlled environment - if due to some odd reason pt becomes unstable then obviously focus will be on stabilising him but the residency period is where the attending surgeon teaches the residesnts during surgeries , the attending surgeons are usually very high skilled people who can teach and do surgery at the same time infact some very experienced cardiothoracic surgeons play songs in OR and listen while doing surguries cause it helps the surgeon relax rather than be tensed - this show ofcurse dramatizes a lot of things like the protaganist being the only competent one and shouting on other department people, we dont do that doctors try to be as respectful as possible with other departments cause we depend on each other a lot , the resident ofcourse bear a lot of brunt from the attending counsultant whos in the same dep but ofcourse thats like a teacher scolding a student

2025-03-11 16:11:04 +0000 UTCI am worried for Haris. :") Btw Hospital Playlist is pretty accurate, realistic, and wholesome but not as much as graphic as Trauma Code. It has a lot to do with interpersonal relationships and friendship.
