You got it all wrong. The mom left him not because she was marrying somebody that wouldn't take her kid. She "threw" her kid away to keep him safe since Moon Sik's side was going to use her kid to threaten her to keep quiet. She wanted to make it look like she left him and did not care anymore for him because she's found a new family. That's why until now, that's the story they're sticking with, that they don't have a relationship anymore and have not kept in touch, even though we know they still secretly go on mother-son dates.

2025-02-20 07:36:10 +0000 UTCGuys, healer's mom didn't know the whole politics, but she knew enough to know where everything went wrong, how powerful and bad these people are, what they can and will do to them (have already done to them) and how far they would go to keep it all under wraps. they have mentioned and showed throughout the episodes that healer's mom tried to find out the truth behind her husband's death and begged people to do something to the point that 'elder' dispatched his guy (moon shik's secretary to go threatened her so she would stop. they threatened her with her son. that was her signal that if because of her , anyone found out even a glimpse of the truth, that because of her if her son found out the truth or if he tried to find the truth, he and they will be eliminated. thats why she removed herself from the picture. a guy fell in love with her and chased her so she went along with it (it still is now but back in the day, for a women along to survive was crazy, it was like her safety net but also would signal the bad guy always keeping tabs on her that she has moved on and no longer connected to healer's father and cares for finding the truth). all that you guys ae talking about is the story they displayed for the people asking questions and for healer, basically like a cover cause whats the point of doing on this if its obvious why its done, a cover story explaining your actions is needed. thats the whole point. the healer also in a way knows this thats why he still has a good relationship with his mom.

2025-02-12 08:19:34 +0000 UTCYes for all of it. + I thought it was implied she left him with his grandma because of the stepdad’s family, they translate one of his lines like “I never thought she would marry someone like me, it was because of me” and I assumed maybe he meant his family was very conservative, like against her political views and past because he doesn’t seem to be closed off, it is all very strange.

2025-02-11 17:21:34 +0000 UTCAs the child of a patchwork family healers "mom" and "stepdad" both make my blood boil. The step-dad couldn't accept a kid that wasn't biologically his? The problem isn't them getting married, the problem is them for whatever reason kicking their son/stepson out. I really don't get it. Was it because of rumors around his father? If you can protect your kid from some rumors you don't deserve to be a parent. Neither of them deserve to call themselves parent. And than they go to gaslight and guild the kid, KID, and ask him for absolution from their selfish cruelty?
