Go Ae-shinโs grandfather is also based on a famous Korean independence activist. He was a symbolic figure who devoted his life to protecting Koreaโs sovereignty and resisting Japanโs aggression and injustice. And to do it in only Korean (Hangul) signifies the independent sovereignty of the country but also that the paper is for the masses, to inform them (writing using Chinese characters were done by higher class who had the privilege of being educated as such. Hangul was literally invented for the masses who didn't know Chinese characters).
