Well, it's a given that they are soulmates but my gripe is more to do with who was cast. I personally think she is a better actress than he was as the Goblin. I just don't see the two actors having any chemistry with each other as lovers.

Hear me out, bc the goblin lived almost a 1000 years, his sense of time is completely different, and that contributes to enhance the sense of loss the entire shows portrays, it makes us wonder: what if they had more time? Itβs natural he takes his time to cherish their love, he is not in a rush and sadly that means they never had time to explore/live their spark.

The fact that both actors have remained friends since then and upto this day are super close really says a lot. The show highlights family and friendship bonds more than romantic couples. Sunny and Reaper had no chance of happy ending in this lifetime. Only chance for them is if both reincarnated as humans without memories of past lifes.

2024-09-24 17:19:53 +0000 UTCI loved Goblin and his bride but I never felt the spark between them as soul mates. Their relationship always seemed more like close family but not lovers. But I definitely felt the pain of her loss in that scene. That heart-wrenching cry of loss was not only for her but probably more for him. Knowing he just didn't die but vanishing into nonexistent, so he would never be able to come back.
