Annabelle (Early Concepts)

Here's another set of early concept drafts of my characters! This time, it's all about the bovine bruiser Annabelle Mylkmoor.

Annabelle's overall design started a bit slimmer in my earliest drafts. but I felt like she needed to stand out a little more from the rest of my gals. So she was given quite a bit more heft and boingy bits all around. Out of all the gals, she's now the very largest in terms of both height and waist size.

Her occupation also saw a small change. She originally started off as a mere farmer but I thought that flew a little too close to a certain other popular furry webcomic out there... 😅

Hence, I reworked her into a knight from a D&D inspired medieval fantasy world. Most of her other physical features (horns, tail, hair, and even body scars) remained the same - but her wardrobe was adjusted accordingly.

Finally, her speech mannerisms were changed completely. She used to be a rough-talking southern belle who truncates some of her grammar (e.g. "ya" instead of "you"). As a knight though, she speaks with a little more grace.

Also pictured in these early sketches are some spicy outfits and poses I experimented with for (prototype) Annabelle. Phew! 😅
