As someone mentioned already, the 3 detectives are a cameo from My love from the star (2013), which is a cult classic of kdramas. I think the show might be too niche to react to, as it can feel a bit dated visually, but it's a great one to watch on your own and quickly notice references to it in other shows. An inside joke of this cameo, in My Love from the star she uses Hong Hae-in as her fake name.

And the brain surgery was done using a more advanced procedure, like dissolving the tumor with laser or something guided by an ultrasound, the german doctor explained it I think, no need the cut the skull open.

2024-05-11 19:01:16 +0000 UTCThis was the episode that ENGAGED lots of viewers in Korea. Will just leave it at that. As for the brain surgery part, it could be a plot hole but I'll let it slide since it was supposed to be done with ultrasound, not cutting open the skull.
