Yes! I watched it just because he was lead but I thought it was kind of boring and not as romantic. What I meant was, I wanna see him as Yul, in New drama where he gets his own romance! ๐ His family is so interesting and he could go back home and start a new chapter there. ๐๐

2024-03-22 07:28:54 +0000 UTCI can see how it looks as if he's moving on but the way i see it is that he feels some sort of pull towards jin bu yeon/naksu because it is naksu's soul. they were soulmates so even when they don't remember each other but their souls do, so their souls are pulling towards each other. and i think that's why they have lady heo to show that even though she's been there trying to pursue jang uk for three years but he's never reciprocated at all, it's because there is no bond there. i hope this makes sense but yeah this is my interpretation of it.

2024-03-21 19:27:22 +0000 UTCkoreans like to really lean in to 'fate' and 'destiny' and soul mates. it's what they are pretty much writing in this show. their souls can tell they are who they are, which is why they're drawn to eachother. so i wouldn't consider it technically that uk is moving on, but that his soul recognizes her soul and that's the reason why he may be feeling a stronger connection to her than say, lady heo who is also pretty and kind and has been taking care of him all these years. you mentioned it last season, that there is a connection between naksu and uk and the original couple who discovered the ice stone in the past. that also leans in to possibly soul reincarnation or destiny and fate. you kind of have to suspend belief when it comes to magical shows. then the idea of souls recognizing souls shouldn't be as confusing. for future shows this will help as well, as the idea of fate is just so commonly used in a lot of asian dramas.

2024-03-21 19:20:46 +0000 UTCYoung lady Heo surprised me in season 2. Her demeanor, facial expression, and even the tone of her voice changed. Somewhat understandable where she's coming from though. She thought she lost Uk to Mu-deok but that went to sh*t, and Uk who she thought had died came back to life. It would be natural for her to think she would have her second chance. But then, Uk never opened up to her for 3 years and now Bu-yeon(aka Naksu, Mu-deok) appears and gets married to him. She may not be significant enough to be a "2nd lead" but I'd say her petty jealousy is justified to a little degree.

Previously they were talking about trying to find a new Ice Stone. They know they can't get the current one because it's in Uk's body so they want a new one. They want possession of Jinyowon to help them create a new stone. That's why they are going after Jinyowon.
