i just finished rewatching this show with you guys (i’ve been avoiding watching it for a second time for obvious reasons) but yall cushioned the blow! i really loved how invested you guys were in their relationship and really got what the show was about at its core. it’s my favorite reaction on this channel to date im gonna come back and revisit this a lot that’s fs! also if yall love these types of dramas that have slice of life elements where the dialogues feel more authentic i recommend summer strike and our blues! it would also be really great if yall check out weightlifting fairy kim bok joo in the near future! its a silly rom com that has the same ml in this drama (nam joohyuk) he’s so different in that role i feel like you would enjoy it :)

2024-04-20 10:03:40 +0000 UTCI’m a little late but I’ve loved watching this a second time and your first time with this gem. I’m more devastated than the first time. One thing I didn’t notice the first time around was that after Heedo retired she made furniture, especially chairs like her dad!

2024-03-09 04:49:53 +0000 UTCUgh I’m a bit late but thank you for checking this show out! No other show has put me on an emotional rollercoaster like this one. For me, Heedo and Yijin’s fatal flaw in their relationship was the fact that they found each other at such a low point in Yijin’s life. He saw her as a light that made him happy and found himself wanting to protect her. That desire to protect her was always constant throughout their relationship, to the point where he wanted to shelter her from his sufferings which led to their downfall. Even in their last words to each other, Heedo told Yijin goodbye while Yijin told Heedo to take care. He cared for her well being so much, and it eventually led to their downfall. I cry every time I watch them say goodbye though :’) To me the message was that life ultimately moves on. When we’re young and innocent certain things may feel so important, but they fade into memory. But also that it’s so fulfilling and important to experience such passion, even if it will pass eventually. (It’s better to have loved than to not love at all) Such a beautiful show- my only qualm with it is that I would have loved to see the rest of the gang in present day. But I suppose that goes along with the theme that sometimes the past is just left in the past, and that’s reality.

2024-02-27 11:25:19 +0000 UTCcan I ask you to react to a Korea drama? Please show the reaction of 'the light in your eyes'(눈이 부시게) with actor Nam Joo Hyuk, who plays the role of Baek Yijin, Twenty five Twenty one.

2024-02-26 23:43:56 +0000 UTCIt does feel particularly tragic because of the lost potential. It makes you question whether there was still hope if she had received that diary with what Yijin wrote when she should've. And yet, it's realistic that sometimes, things don't work out even when people care so much about each other. It's bittersweet, but at the very least, it is good they got some closure and respected/appreciated the role they each played in the other's life. I love that you guys really felt this drama. Still hoping you'll take a chance and experience 'Mr Sunshine' as well. Would love to journey through that with you like I did rewatching this drama with you both. As you said, you've probably already started whichever one you've chosen to do next, but I can still remain hopeful, right? Haha.

2024-02-26 12:57:57 +0000 UTCI didn't like the drama as much as you guys did. I hated the ending so much. I hate unhappy endings. I rate it 0 🤣😂🤣 Only because the romance is so real and the break up is so realistic. It takes me back to my own relationships. No matter what, two people who love each other cannot make it work, that's everyone's real life. That was my real life. 😂 In everyone's life, there's always your first love, then the one who got away. They could be the same person or not, but it's something we carry with us forever whether we move on or not.

2024-02-26 06:28:26 +0000 UTCThe parallel between Yurim/Jiwoong and Heedo/Yijin, with the former deciding that they will share their misery while Yijin couldn't help but protect Heedo from sharing his. It's sad, and realistic, but so fitting. 2521 was just that show. They hit all the spots. The actors and production have been praised, but those writers. Damn. So good. And idk how but it honestly gets better and better the more times I rewatch it with others. I hope you guys add Revenant and Pyramid Game to the voting poll. The latter comes out on Feb 29!

2024-02-26 01:59:55 +0000 UTCah the final ep, altho it breaks me every time to rewatch it again, I also love how real it is, the breakup and the goodbye scenes, it just hurts. Y’all thinking about the drama on daily is relatable, I rmr after the show was over, so many of us were in denial or weren’t ready to move on! The writing of this drama is so well rounded and ofc we can’t forgot Kim Taeri’s acting, I would recommend the revenant in the future cuz her acting will literally shock you! Glad this won the poll as a voter for the show myself, I’m glad to the others who voted for this show too 🙌🏻

2024-02-26 01:32:07 +0000 UTCI couldn’t watch it for along time because of the ending. I got the meaning and what writers wanted to show, but I think, I’m too romantic for this kind of ending, it’s kind of torture to watch it again and again. Despite that, this show is amazing, cast is incredible, the OST and how this drama was filmed also amazing. I remember when I was watching this drama for the first time, I was impressed with Na Hee Do, her personality and her love for Ko Yurim. Was happy to watch this drama with you again. Ah… last two episodes were full of tears… I don’t think I’ll be watching it again anytime soon…

2024-02-25 19:22:47 +0000 UTCI think Heedo in present time is divorced. There was a mention of the dad not being able to visit because of the quarantine rules that by the time he's out of quarantine, he'd have to leave right away. This implies the dad is abroad. Now, it's entirely possible it's not a permanent arrangement, but knowing what we know of Heedo, would she put up with this type of relationship? She has too much self-worth for that. Also, the fact that the dad is out of touch with his daughter's life, sending her a ballet outfit implies he is out of the loop with what's happening, that tells you the relationship is not great. If they haven't already ended it, that's where it would have gone eventually. I'd like to think that the author intentionally kept it this way, with little hints here and there, for the audience to imagine a potential future. I believe that those two would reconnect someday and be together.

2024-02-25 19:10:07 +0000 UTCMy heart still hurts even 2 years later after this show ended lol. I took away so much from this drama — I was reminded of my youth and being dumb & rebellious, a first love that never worked out, fighting with my parents, going to school and hanging out with friends. Cherish all those memories because life doesn't have a go back button. The ending was heart shattering but bittersweet as well. They both loved each other, supported one another in their lowests, became lovers and unfortunately it didn't work out. And that's okay. That's literally life 😢 still couldn't help but cry though. We all went on their journey and could feel/see how beautiful it was. It's one of my favorite love stories. This drama is based off of a song "Twenty five twenty one" by Jaurim, a Korean rock band. The main vocalist wrote this song about her lover who passed away due to overwork. It played only twice in this kdrama: during the water fountain scene on episode 2, and the end of episode 15 when they mentioned their ages (25 & 21). The beginning and end of their love story 😭 Thank you sm for this reaction guys! It's been such a journey and I'm glad it's up there as one of your favorites if not your favorite. Yessss applause for the new queens and only king added to the list! We love to see it

2024-02-25 18:59:31 +0000 UTCOther drama of Kim taeri (Na heedo) can you watch Mr Sunshine one of the best drama and you will see a mature version of her in this drama. Namjoon hyuk( Back injin) in Weightlifting fairy Kim bok joo he is very cheeky in this drama. Which is exactly opposite of what these both are playing in 2521.

2024-02-25 18:18:38 +0000 UTCIf you loved this then you should react to Misaeng. It's an older drama (2011) but it is one of the most real slice of life with truly incredible story, characters, and performances. This drama really left it's mark on me and made waves when it was first released in South Korea. It's not a romance, it's purely a slice of life drama.
