If I may offer a suggestion, it might be better to allow multiple votes on a poll to get a better feel for what people like. Each of us has different faves and of course, we will vote for those faves. But another person's fave could also be a close 2nd or 3rd. Or another option is to publish some parameters for voting. As another poster said, it's not fun to watch a reaction where the reactor is not into it and most of the time rolling their eyes. If you start a poll, start with asking for recommendations based on some criteria that fit your taste. Then people vote on those. Personally, my taste in kdrama goes up and down. Sometimes, I want to watch something light, just for the entertainment factor, sometimes I want to watch something with more substance, or something in between. Sometimes I'm craving for fantasy, sometimes slice of life, etc.

2024-02-23 23:59:06 +0000 UTCAfter seeing what you like Reply 1988, Our Beloved Summer, While You Were Sleeping, Goblin, Prison Playbook, MOUSEEE, Signal!!, Dr. Romantic (the name is a little silly, but it's a 3 season great show), Hospital Playlist, At A Distance Spring is Green (main character from Weak Hero is the lead), Healer, Taxi Driver, Big Mouth, Strangers From Hell, Extracurricular...these all seem much more your style and some are longer and some are 8-10 episodes.

I completely understand if you'l do it since the poll says to, but I'd greatly suggest maybe 1 more poll with the first 4 options and let us vote on that one? If it wins again...watch that definitely, but the other 3 are much more in your wheelhouse/what I think you'd like.

2024-02-18 06:07:31 +0000 UTCanything but SWBS, I get that the leads are a popular couple, but is it just me? cuz personally I find the drama problematic and the plot just doesn’t hit, feel like both of them won’t enjoy the over the top humour as well. Also sucks that new shows are added cuz takes away the votes for older dramas that always make it to the poll and never get a chance like our beloved summer, it always gets mentioned in the comments a lot too, hope it gets the vote, come on 2521 watchers, if you haven’t voted, go for beloved, sacrificed my vote last poll for it to win!

2024-02-16 00:10:31 +0000 UTCi mean, hyeri is literally criticized for her poor acting in every drama she is in....none of them are as successful as 88 and that's mainly because it had a franchise behind it. to be fair, i think she acted her best in that show. as i think go ara acted her best in 94. they are barely watchable in their other dramas. eunji was the best female lead out of the three, and seo in guk the best male lead. bo gum is a close second though. 88 may focus on family bonds more, but that's no excuse for the poor chemistry between the leads. it's the same with vincenzo. don't try to pair the leads up when they share no romantic chemistry. have them become close friends if you must give them reason to be together. but when you portray any kind of romantic relationship, chemistry is the key to making it believable. and fyi, i'm korean. your insinuation that i may not have enjoyed it because i didn't understand it is insulting. but thank you.

I'll tell u why the hype... it wasn't just about the love story! 88 was about family, youth, growing up and the year 1988(for Koreans). If u only watched it for the love line then I see why you thought it was mid. And Hyeri was excellent as Dukseon. Her role as Dukseon literally changed the trajectory of her career. 97 was great. 94 was mid. But with 88, the reply team had mastered the art and gave us a classic. I would love the guys to watch 97 as well. but I don't see them enjoying a show with a love triangle between a teacher and a teenager

2024-02-14 18:54:16 +0000 UTCdamn. so many good ones gonna lose out to mid. i would also recommend, no, beg you, to please watch the reply series in order of release, if you're going to watch them at all. i don't know why 88 has so much hype, but 97 is the og and the best, which is why it produced 2 spin offs. 88 has some of the cringiest acting from hyeri and a really poor love line between the actors. EDIT TO ADD: the reason i ask you to watch the reply's in order of release is because they make references to the previous seasons and if you start chronologically, you won't catch all if any of the references.
