2024-02-11 02:57:53 +0000 UTCI think it was the very first episode of the Monuments series on Disney+ which went into the history of Korean music and talked about Seo Taiji and Boys as being the very beginning of Kpop - they apparently were around in the late 80s to mid 90s and he became a solo singer after a short retirement. They sang about many social issues and were really popular with the newly independent Korean youth. Or at least that is what I remember from the show.

It’s a video that focuses more on their rise through their discography and music and their successes and achievements which recognized them the global success they have currently.
