I am amazed at how you can hold your tears, I am like sobbing, the ending was too emotional

About the trip, yes, she lied

I think the thing about the mum as well that I love is she realises right there and then when the guy says she should get to the hospital that her husband is definitely dying or dead and there’s nothing they can do. So she realises that she has to be the bread winner and in that period of time her being a news anchor is amazing and her possibly being fired could’ve come if they thought she could no longer handle it because of her husbands death. And if she does something as crazy as doing the report rather than seeing her husband off maybe they’ll see how much she wants it and how badly she has to stay. Obviously a child like heedo isn’t going to understand something like that. But in that time period her mum having that job is something that was unheard of especially in Korea. Women would’ve still been treated as house wives a lot of them. Not many people would’ve hired women.

I love that Kdrama isn’t contrived like anime, majority of Kdrama is done so well✨

When Heedo said that it's kind of nice in itself that even though her mom's professionalism gave her heartaches, it made Yijin dream, she's saying that at least, something good has come out of her pain and because that good was for Yijin, it's kind of worth it. The writer is emphasizing how much both these leads support each other. Yijin is sad that him being inspired represents pain for Heedo and Heedo being happy that her pain caused something good to happen for Yijin. Amazing writing! Another example of this juxtaposition is Heedo's mom saying that she's been waiting for her to grow up so Heedo can understand her actions, and Heedo saying the more she grew up, the more she understood and the more she hurt. Then later on at the cemetery, we find out that what her mom was really waiting for when she grows up is the ability to start sharing the pain of the dad passing and just had to endure and bottle up the pain. All along, while Heedo was growing up, she had been wanting to share the pain with her mom and had to suffer from not being able to do so.
