Here's the episode I previewed to you earlier this week with compression, color correction, and some pithy editing.
It always takes me some time to re-acclimate to even the simplest elements of video editing once I get over my natural run-and-hide response the first time I have to do anything in the project other than cutting/splicing.
This took about three hours of on-and-off work last night, but even looking at it 12hrs later I'm quite sure I could do it in half the time or less today.
The key will be pressing through the first seven days of doing this daily so I crush up my fear of video into a little bouncy ball so this can become a part of my daily habits just like morning yoga and practicing French before bed. (I'm quite relentless in managing my own self-improvement).
These first seven episodes are sort of like a "Season 0," because for round two I'll be in higher-quality video and maybe even with improved sound. But, I also have no idea if what I'm doing is interesting in any way. Do people want to hear my reminiscing about dropped college classes while I unwrap books? Is my unprepared rambling about a surprise unwrapping of any worth, or should I pause once I open the book to review one of my guides?
I'll look forward to feedback as you see the next few episodes, which include a lot more reminiscing and rambling, as well as a few of my favorite books (chosen totally at random).
