Index to Batman Ongoings (Early Access for Crushing Comics Club members)

Here's yet another Bat-Guide, inching me ever closer to total Bat-Coverage on Crushing Krisis - The Index To Batman Ongoing Titles

This guide is not scheduled for general public release at this time. I will share it with Pledgeonauts along with their May Patrons' Choice guide. (pssst: take the April Patron's Choice pool, I extended the deadline!)

The Index is an oddball remnant of how I decided to carve up Batman, and it represents me amending an imperfect decisions I made on the X-Men guide.

When I first started the Batman guides I planned to do a guide for each title. However, as I learned more about the various Bat-Books I determined that after Detective Comics and Batman, Legends of the Dark Knight was the only series with the longevity and multiple volumes to warrant its own guide. 

After shuttling the "Gotham" titled comics off to the Gotham guide, that marooned a few Batman titles - namely:

• Batman Chronicles (1995)
• Batman Confidential (2007 – 2011)
• The Batman Family (1975- 1978)
• Batman: Shadow of the Bat (1992 – 2000)

Thus, this motley guide was destined to be born. Yet, I didn't want to call it "Batman Ongoings," as I did on X-Men, restricting it to titles not covered in other guides. That sets it up as a sort of little-browsed ugly duckling.

Instead, moved straight to referring to it as an "index," and taking the opportunity to list all of Batman's ongoing titles alphabetically in one place to offer folks a different way of browsing him than the chronological table of contents on the Batman Master Page.

This leaves me with just a pair of Bat-Pages left to craft before my Bat-Dominance is complete - a Trinity page for Batman's various Superman/Wonder Woman team-ups, and an overall Batman Index that will supplant this page and include a listing all Batman titles, including the collection information for limited series and links out for ongoings.

Next up? I'd like to get out, Animal Man, which I'm already halfway done, before I turn to the series of really huge guides on my plate to finish the month. That line-up is DC Alternate Realities, Justice League, Marvel Cosmic, and the secret work I've been hinting at.

Why did I put all these guides in one month? Other than being a total masochist, that is? All of them tie to May/June media properties, and I'd like to have final drafts out to you far enough ahead of time to make final adjustments and build out my release plans. If I can make it through April, things get much simpler from May forward until I have to work on (:shudder:) Superman later in the year.
