Tonight I bring you my first-ever author- or storyline-specific collecting guide - Batman by Grant Morrison.

The guide includes every Morrison Batman issue with suggested reading orders, plus pre-reading for the story threads referenced by his historic seven-year epic.

Crushing Comics was borne from my frustration that no one else had written a good guide to collecting X-Men (and we all see how that turned out).

I've felt the same way about Grant Morrison's Batman epic ever first since reading it in 2011. There are a lot of webpages with context but no reading orders, or reading orders but no collection explanations, but no single page that ever told me all the things I wanted to know before, during, and after my read.

That's what I've attempted with this page. It would probably benefit from my re-reading the entirety of Morrison's run to add some additional notes and references.

Next up? A page for Batman's other ongoings, Batwoman, DC's Events and Alternate Realities, and my first author bibliography ... but, first, I might have an unexpected page for you later this week.
