POLL: What should I read/review/recap next?

Comment to help me choose my next "From the Beginning" readalong comic!

As hard as it is to believe, being more than halfway through the month of blogging means I'm halfway through my "From the Beginning" read of the initial years of the WildStorm Universe!

I'd like you to help me choose what to focus on next so I can continue the series. I'd prefer a shorter, contained run that you might be inspired to read for the first time (and can actually readily acquire, which isn't necessarily the case with WildStorm).

A. More WildStorm! (Continue to "Fire From Heaven" crossover in 1996)

B. Another Early Image Comics imprint or title (like Top Cow or Spawn)

C. iZombie by Chris Roberson & Mike Allred

C. Planetary by Warren Ellis & John Cassaday

D. Promethea by Alan Moore & J. H. Williams

E. Y The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughan & Pia Guerra

F. Something Else (mention in the comments - aim for series 25-50 issues)

I'm still learning what works in this "From The Beginning" format, so I don't yet want to tackle X-Men or Wonder Woman (my two holy grails and eventual goals) and Hellboy or Sandman (which will require more careful reading and research).

Disclaimer: While I am still under my $120 "Pay for CK" goal, I am going to seek external input on this choice from other communities of readers, which will hopefully pull in more Patrons! However, if a super-majority of Patrons votes for a certain choice, that's a pretty clear message.

Comments

The group OVERWHELMING voted for Planetary, which I know well and is nice and short. I'm going to work on that for this month as an experiment to see if it brings in new readers/subscribers, and then I'll ask you for feedback again for next month with that knowledge in hand.

FYI, I also opened up this question to The Omnibus Collector's™ Comic Swap and Community on FB, but I will still heavily consider your votes for Spawn :) https://www.facebook.com/groups/842348235814432/permalink/1147829568599629/

I've never read any Ultimate Marvel *or* Kick-Ass, so both would be cool to tackle when I refocus on Marvel stuff! I have a big old list that I'll add them to :)

krisis

Authors will interest me too - I like Warren Ellis' Marvel work, so I would probably read articles on his other work for example. Rare occasion I stepped out of Marvel was loving Mark Millar's work on Ultimates and Ultimate X-Men - so I took an instant interest in Kick Ass and loved it! (possible future focus material? Lol)

There are several items on the list I know very little about, but I am aware of them from things like "50 Greatest..." type articles. Due to their reputation, I would definitely be interested in reading a more in depth article on them.

(b) Do you think it's more or less interesting that I'm suggesting things you don't know? (Clearly, I'm going to get to Marvel eventually, but I want to get better at the format and collect more data on how people engage before I do.)

(a) I'm terrified that this is now two votes for Spawn :)

krisis

I'd be most interested in Spawn, followed by Y: The Last Man. However, most of the list is unknown to me, so it'll be informative whatever the choice! lol
