And what you think happened, didn't happen, and what you don't think happened, did happen. That's what I love about Korean doramas. You can never ever predict the ending (in good kdramas) The next chapter is to be applauded for the acting work. You'll see. Meryl Streeph is the American version of Ms. Chu, the actress, not the other way around, because that woman is a chameleon. You'll see.

From the most recent ones such as Hyun-Soo's dad(Flower of Evil) all the way back to Moon-Young's mom(It's Ok to Not be Ok), the shaping of a character often goes back to how their parents treated them. If you look back, it might be hard to find a drama that doesn't revolve around parent-child relationship and implication of it. It might be based on the cultural emphasis on family values and the importance of being a good parent.
