It's Okay to Not Be Okay Episode 12

That ending made us smile after such a gut punch of an episode

Also SN: Please don't roast me (Justin) to bad for the theory at the end. I know that it's wild and probably wrong but just wanted to throw it out there lol

It's Okay to Not Be Okay Episode 12

Lol I've compared the oppa thing to some Americans as their 'daddy'. It might literally mean relative but if it's a girl saying it in a flirtatious was to an older man, its supposed to be sexy

Susanna Guard

Spoiler for Squid Games: In the Marble Game Ali is yelling "Sangwooo Hyung! Sangwoo Hyung! Hyung!" while he's searching for him which makes his betrayal so much sadder, because he's literally yelling "Brother? Brother!!"

"Hyung" is older brother for males , "Dongsaeng" is younger brother for males and "Oppa" is older brother, boyfriend, lover for females, lol. They should really just translate it instead of the names which doesn't make sense. Somebody will have a horrific death scene and their sister will be crying "My brotherrrrr" and the mother "my sonnn" and they usually just translate it to their names which makes it seem less sad.

Jae-Su did that because he saw that his friend was sad and he knew that if he sent her that picture she'd come over and pay attention to him. It was actually a sweet thing, haha. Also, Koreans eat very different food than us and a lot of food that is traditional for them might look weird/disgusting to you, but I'd edit that out of your Youtube edits or just not say it at all with such disgust over and over. Koreans love their drinks and food...it's a HUGE part of their culture and I just don't want you to offend a bunch of people.

This episode brought me in tears. My heart breaks for Moon Gangtae. He loves moonyoung so much. They've been through a lot and deserve a happy ending. I guess one of your theories about gangtae and sangtae mother will be revealed in the next episode. Can't wait to see your reaction.

Just to add to the oppa explanation, don't get confused if you ever hear a girl calling their boyfriend/husband oppa, it can also be used in that context as a term of endearment. So in conclusion, oppa can mean older biological brother/male relative like a cousin or so, older close male friend/ older close male work/school colleague or older boyfriend/husband lol

Both hyung and oppa mean elder brother, but their use is determined by gender. A guy will use hyung for their older brother, relative or close friend who is 1 or more years older than them. Oppa is used by girls for the same. In Korean culture, you don’t call anyone older than u, even by a year, by their name. Older sisters or ladies are referred to as Noona( guys) and Eonnie or Unni (girls). If it is a man way older like 10 to 15 years, they are called Ajusshi, women, Ajumma.
