what have i been doing?

It's been a few weeks since my last video! i have to be honest, i haven't been working on any future videos yet. just taking a bit of a break! i needed it to let my mind soothe itself, and i think that's been going well. i've actually been rather heavily focused on this other project lately, one that isn't video related

I don't really have a name for it right now, but the basic concept is that it's a monster-catching game like pokemon or yokai watch, but set in a sidescroller format similar to kirby instead of a top-down JRPG. I originally got this idea soooo long ago, i'm talking at least 7 years ago, for a video game concept i had. it was about these two brothers, Bobby and Andy, who were pretty much a mario and luigi parody, and they had this little floating orb buddy i called a "Pixorb" (pixie + orb). I was a young kid and didnt know a thing about game development so i didnt necessarily plan on actually making it real, it was just a fun idea to think about.

years down the line i actually got the idea to repurpose this concept into a webcomic, since that was something i was definitely capable of. I never really got around to it, since it's a bit difficult for me to sink large amounts of time into things that aren't animation related since that is my primary job, but i still plan on getting around to it.

even more recently, a friend of mine saw me talk about the idea to turn this into a sidescrolling monster catcher and wanted to help me make it a reality, which was honestly super cool of him and i still cant express my gratitude enough! So yeah, i've been thinking about it a lot and trying to develop lots of designs for it that could work as playable monsters. i think im planning on getting a good looking demo done for it some time in the future to see what people think of the concept and hopefully that could net me some more support on it.

anyways, as for my youtube channel, i think my next video is going to be that idea with adeleine and the squeak squad i first mentioned way back in 2018. no idea how long that's gonna take!
