Merry Christmas and HNY! [+Batch]

Greetings everyone!

Christmas time has arrived and the new year is around the corner too. 2020 been kinda rough and challenging for everyone. Many bad things have happened to our society economically, socially and politically. The words ''tier'', ''restrictions'', ''curfew'', ''telecommuting aka working from home'' have become part of our daily life. Where I live the society has been extremely polarized. One side are willing to wear a mask and obey the restrictive nature and development of our daily movement and actions. Other side try to fight that (usually supporting several theories that seem ridiculous to the former). As diplomatic and peaceful as I love to be, this year has been extremely hard for me from that point of view. But I guess we will fight through it and prevail.

So why do I start on such bitter note if this was message was all about Christmas? Because my advice is to learn while its all blue and grey. Learn and absorb, while we still can in case our daily life is about to change from now on. Cause we never know... might be working remotely (most of us) for the rest of our lifes if that's proven to be more effective late.

Learning is a good thing, and we can learn from everything. One thing I love to learn from is music. Hip-hop more specifically. This year I got OuB back on, got my turntables on line to digitize the wax I got + bought plenty of new ones. Learned many new things from life and from the hip-hop.

I know that many DJs and MCs who had scheduled live gigs, had to reshape their activities and were hurt the most by this which was bad. But as a listener I can see one good thing out of pandemics despite many hip-hop heads not being able to meet and record together. I guess you know that many records were released remotely, including many dope underground rap albums. But what's the most pleasant thing I found this year - many previously shelved albums were released on CD, Vinyl and WEB formats... every week. Maybe if not for pandemics, many of those would still be unreleased.

To conclude this, I would like to WISH EVERYONE MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. I hope you are well, and wish you love, prosperity and happiness.

And don't forget to learn new things along the way. You never know when they might come in handy. As the legendary B.B. King once said: “The beautiful thing about learning is that nobody can take it away from you.”
