Digital Cratediggin' With OuB [Day 4]

Today the random digital cratediggin' set has brought up solid tunes of UK hip-hop (Mad Doctor X, Gunshot's 2nd album + it's member Barry Blue on his solo) and old school hip-hop (Captain Rock, Cold Crush Brothers) mostly. With some exceptions of funky music (Aleem), east coast jams (Cormega, Def Squad) and fusion between genres with a slight touch of hip-hop (acid jazz and electronic UK jams from Dodge City Productions, and the great Lisa Lisa on her solo single 'Skip To My Lu'.

I guess you should check them all out if you love rather wide variety of tunage, but If not then go with what's more suitable for ya. If you think more similar to me in regard to quality tunes, these would be my deffo top priority recommendations out of these.

Captain Rock album (actually not an album but a compilation released years after his career peak, but a great thing to own on CD)
Cold Crush Brothers album (in late 80's CCB's showed they can shift from their early style and delivered this album. This is the Japanese 2018 CD reissue with 7 bonus tracks - I attached back cover in the gallery if you need more info of the tracklist. Rare to have in HQ.
Cormega album. Great thug rap classic (almost 20 years already). Am I right and the album cover tries to re-recreate iconic Malcolm X pic which was already featured as a KRS-One BDP version in late 80's? Always thought they similar, but Mega is not holding the gun this time so maybe it's just a different type of image.
Gunshot - the veterans of Britcore classics. I personally have so much love for their first 2 albums (3rd one to some extent too). Many of you know and have heard about those, but what slips under the radar is Barry Blue's solo effort of 1993. Listen to it and lemme know how it sounds. I think it's still dope n fresh!
Last but not least is the CD reissue of Aleem & Leroy Burgess album from '86. Electronic and funk fusion delivers great tunes on this one. Many of you have noted Aleem from their iconic 1984 electro track 'Release Yourself' which is still on steady rotation on many radio stations that cover the era. The song is well recognized among UK music melomaniacs, since it was featured on the legendary Street Sounds Electro Series (Volume 8). So if you ready for some more Aleem, you should check the full HQ rip out.
