How are you?
Added 2025-02-11 09:02:58 +0000 UTCHow is everybody doing? What's something new that you're doing or did recently? Watching any new shows? Seen a good movie? Played a wicked cool game? :)
I tried out Audible recently on a $0.99 a month deal. Each month you get one credit, and that one credit gets you one book (most of the time). I have read the first three or four Omnibus collections of the Gotrek and Felix stories from Warhammer Fantasy, and they were really good. So I decided to try those out on Audible, and they were awesome!
The narrator is great! The voices he does is now how I hear all of these characters in my head. Even his skaven voices are bang on! I just love them! :D
I also returned a game that I haven't played in a long time: Mordheim, City of the Damned. This is not a game that is for the faint of heart. This game is difficult, and it's meant to be. It's a tactical skirmish game based in the Warhammer Fantasy world. You design a small mercenary band from one of four factions, and then go on missions in the city.
The game only has one game mode for the single player game (though it does have PvP as well), and that is an ironman mode. There is no manual save, just a single autosave, and if your mercenaries die then they are perma-dead. Even if they just take a critical hit or get stunned, they can pick up permanent injuries.
It is brutal! :D

They took Mordheim, updated it to 40k, and tried to improve it. And yet, somehow, it just doesn't feel right. Necromunda isn't a bad game, but it just somehow misses the feel. At least for me it did. :)

2025-02-11 20:44:03 +0000 UTCI try to keep myself alive after pulling an all nighter finishing my new update, does that count? XD
