[Apocalypse] Small Announcement
Added 2023-06-14 21:16:02 +0000 UTCAs I was writing the next chapter, I noticed a little problem with this final stretch of the first volume. It's moving so quickly with so few issues and conflicts that it barely counts as the book's climax.
So, after doing some re-planning, I believe it would be better to go back and add more detail to past events. The first thing I'm going to do is add an interlude that provides context, sets up future events, and adds tension. After that, I am going to change the last chapter for some more one-on-one action. I know that just seeing Ventus and Thorian mowing down hundreds of crazed humans like it's an Elon Flamethrower commercial is fun and all, but I think I'm missing an opportunity to showcase new types of powers in a more constrained environment.
So, what does that mean? Today, I will be working on the interlude first, which should be inserted between chapters 63 and 64. After that, if I have more time today, I can do an edit sweep from chapters 63 to 66, with most of the edits focusing on the latter.
