Its servants, clad in the stark lines of a modern age, bore aloft a monstrous burden—a tumorous growth, pulsing with a life both alien and obscene, jutting from the creature's back like a profane palanquin. The air crackled with a silent dread, the guns of war falling silent before this new horror that walked the earth.
