Health mystery solved/ More upcoming content for you~

Hi guys!

First, a huge apology for the lowish posting frequency lately, I've been dealing with some health issues which are getting resolved now... I mentioned it here and there in the comic blogs but basically I had a ton of really debilitating full-body joint pain for the past month and a half. It felt exactly like rheumatoid arthritis, but... wasn't... After doctors visits, blood tests, etc, I found out I actually gave myself lupus, lol. There is a form of temporary lupus that can arise after long-term use of certain medications, and I happened to have a rare reaction to a med I've been taking for 2 years which has otherwise not affected me until now. Anyways, I got off of that thing and I think my body is finally on the mend! I should be back to full power in a few weeks, but already I can move again and it's amazing. I know this is a revolutionary assessment, but being able to actually use one's hands/ wrists/ elbows/ arms/ everything is fairly conducive to content creation. Anyhow, we surpassed the 12x updates a month funding goal (ie 3x updates per week) so that will definitely be enacted for December, now sans bone pains.

Now that I can use my body, there will be a lot more stuff coming up. For one, more behind the scenes content related to the upcoming endings of MI Ch2 and TM Ch4, freelance reflections and tips, and more in-depth art and comics analysis stuff since you guys seemed to like the last one. I'm saving some really good stuff for the monthly tutorials though, if we ever get to that goal.

Further, I can actually stream again now too (since October I've been unable to work more than a few mins at a time cuz of the pain, which is a lame stream), and am planning a Streamapalooza right after Thanksgiving featuring commissions, upcoming comic stuff, and the months' wallpaper~ If you ordered a commission from me in October, you'll be getting that very soon. Yay!

In addition, I have some big projects on the horizon and will be previewing them here too :] Lots of cool stuff.

Thanks so much again for your patience during my stupid health stuff, and I'm looking forward to getting back to sharing all the things I've been planning!

So glad you are starting to feel better and that it is only a temporary affliction is fantastic. I have a friend who has RA and that is a miserable disease. Here's to a healthier new year!

Tourma

That's a relief to know! Glad to know you are doing better already. :) Thanks for keeping us posted! And there is no such thing as "stupid health stuff", I think. Health always comes first~ You are your most important resource, because there is only one of you. I hope you will feel super healthy in a few weeks. <3

You mean it... *was* lupus??

Ersatzanime

Oh no! I'm so sorry you've been dealing with that! HUGS!!

I'm glad you figured out what was going on. I had that problem a couple years ago, but it turned out to be RA. Kinda tough in your first year of comic school. But it pushed me to aim for editing, and developing an art style based on sumi-e painting. Actually. I remember printing out some of your sketches and comics so I could look at the smooth lines and think about how to control them but still stay relaxed! Anyways, I hope you can rest up and draw easily! -JSTYX

Good luck to you! I finally understand from a first-person perspective how much work goes into maintaining a normal schedule with a chronic pain/ illness.
