Slapping this one on here so it's not a mystery what I'm doing - This is the first half for this chapter :3
LOTS of placeholder art, but this is just what the early versions of my stuff looks like - I don't know how many WIP posts is too many but I can tell for something like this zero is too few
I have no idea how long this all took me, since a lot of it was in writing, but I know that first shot of the clockwork city took about 10 hours, which honestly I was pretty pleased with - A panel with 3 fully rendered characters takes on average about 12 hours for me.
In any piece of media, if you're going to spend time building up something that isn't in itself part of the "appeal", but instead something that supports that appeal, it can be tempting to 'save time' for the fun parts, and put less thought and energy into it.... But you shouldn't. Do it right, don't halfass it because as soon as you make it weaker - then it's just guaranteed to be a waste of time.
That being said - I am glad I spent time last year working on perspective because that would've been VERY painful if I hadn't
Alright - and yes next update should be hopefully more 'appealing' - I promise there's a point to all that set up ;3
