2021-11-07 07:23:58 +0000 UTCI was one of the few who gave the first the benefit of the doubt, figuring that its mistakes would be fixed in the sequel...they were not. Had I seen this in theaters, I can pinpoint a few places where I would have walked out (and I have NEVER walked out of a movie in my life). The part which grinds my gears the most is the Texan accent Gomez puts on when they're in San Antonio. In reality, San Antonio is 64% Hispanic (despite not a single one besides him in the motel), the largest majority-Hispanic city in the US...so Gomez would not have been out of place as himself.

I think because with my own family issues being what they are I got a wierd kind of enjoyment seeing a family as close as the Addams suffering from familial tensions. Of course the 2019 one did that too and did it better. And I was right, you're riffs WERE amazing. Bob, some like killer impressions. Especially of Wallace Shawn.
