Status Update

It seems I've got to work on posting these on Fridays again. Ah well, no render this time but I'll keep the update quick.

Renders are going fine, taking longer than expected but I like how they're coming along. That said, after this scene I'll have to rethink how I render out "full" scenes in the future. No ETA on when the scene will be finished and I'm not rushing to get it out either. The longer it takes to render, the more time I have to polish MZ stuff, and there is a lot of shit to polish... And I haven't even started polishing yet......

Speaking of the MZ stuff, I added in a plugin for the HUD. I was going to make it myself but the plugin does it way better than I would've. This makes my basic HUD for the stamina obsolete, but I'll keep the time portion of it. Currently I'm working on updating skills, animations, and enemy attack patterns. I've organized the skill list, like the rest of the database, so it'll be much easier for me to add/edit skills in the future. I need to go back and link all the skills to the proper enemies again but thankfully there aren't that many so it won't be much work. Probably.

I also bought new animations specifically for the "charm" skills, which is pretty much the only thing the base game is lacking. Over time I'll be replacing all the base animations with new animations from the same maker as the charm ones so the animations are designed consistently like the battlers. 

After I get all the skills and stuff updated, I need to update the final event in the Pleasure Palace, the conversation and boss battle, then work on a couple new events that I'll leave as a surprise and I'll be done with the PP... for now. After that I'll close out the event/quest and work on polishing up things. Essentially making sure that anything that's going to be part of the first part of the update is perfect.

The basic update stuff is done but I'll need to update the dialogue a bit once I add the renders. Again, the next update will cover everything up to leaving Dope's house for the first time. Technically you'll be able to continue playing and even beat the first dungeon, but there'll be no renders after leaving Dope's house. Well, except for the social ones for Blaze and Fire, which are/will be nice! I do plan on having a memory log, but it'll primarily be for adult/sexytime scenes. General conversations and things of that nature won't be added, neither will full on events. So, for example, the Hefna party renders will be plentiful and skippable but the scene with Elise would be a "memory". The talk with MJ at her office is skippable, but the scene with Jessica would be a "memory". By skippable I mean you could/will miss future renders if you choose to play past what the update covers, but the event itself is obviously not skippable.
