Videos and YouTube - Your thoughts?
Added 2021-05-16 14:19:28 +0000 UTCSo with this new video feature, I would like your thoughts on something. In order for me to post the video directly to Patreon, I have to provide a URL to the video. The most convenient place for me to do that is from my YouTube channel.
Naturally this means that I also have to post the video to YouTube as well. Previously I was posting them as hidden videos that could only be accessed if you have the direct link. That was my way of keeping the content exclusive to Patreon.
Now I'm wondering if I should just post them publicly on my YouTube. The most recent video of Briana is public on my YouTube. It can be viewed by anyone. It is not exclusive to you, my patrons.
I am curious what you think about this though?
Should the videos be public on YouTube, in hopes of drawing in more patrons? Should they not be public at all, and kept as content that is exclusive to all of you? Or should I do something similar to my free comics where I post them privately at first, and then make them public later?
Of course the other option is to not post them to YouTube at all. Then I would just post an image on Patreon with downloadable files attached to the post.
Lots of options. What do you think?

2021-05-17 14:41:19 +0000 UTCYou could do excactly as your comics, you can upload video to Slushe. Another option is to upload a lower resolution or animated gif for free and keep the hi-res versions Patreon only.

2021-05-16 15:45:03 +0000 UTCThink you could do a combo, post some videos public and others only for patreon. Then track the increase in patrons depending on each case(s). Go from there and continue with the mix as you see fit.
