The future of my Bimbo Art

 So in typical fashion, I am taking my good 'ol time thinking about what to do about this whole censorship thing and Patreon. If you are not aware, then Patreon has slowly been censoring more and more adult material over the last year or two. It started with deciding that some Hypnosis material, and this is a direct quote, " is used as a coercion mechanic for nonconsensual" sexual interaction.

About a month ago, they clarified their Terms of Service to state that in their opinion many transformation fetishes fall under this umbrella. More specifically they have decided that "forced transformation and sexual slavery" content like "feminization, sissification, bimbofication, expansion, and muscle growth" is prohibited on the site and that these kinks fall under Patreon's ban on the "glorification of sexual violence".

But that isn't what I want to discuss at the moment. I just wanted you to know the back story if you didn't already know that this was going on. For now I've kept my Patreon open. I have not received a notice from Patreon, as of yet, to tell me that I need to remove content from my site. Which would be a nearly impossible task. I have over 300 posts on there from the last couple of years.

So I've been thinking about what to do. Do I just move to another site that is similar to Patreon? Do I do what some other artists do and start selling my comics on gumroad, Affect3D, or some other site? Do I go back to writing for a place like Hip Comix? Do I do all of those?

Currently I am still undecided. Each of those options has its own complications. My main concern is that I know some of the censorship isn't actually coming from Patreon. It's coming from the payment processors (Visa), the advertisers, or both. Hip Comix had a similar issue at one point, where they were contacted by their payment processor and told that they needed to be sure their content was acceptable under their Terms of Service.

That was years ago! So this isn't a recent issue. It's been going on for a long, long time - like more than ten years. So one of my concerns is that I'll move and just get censored off of that site as well.

Anyway, I just spent way more time talking about adult censorship than I meant to. The point is that one option that I have thought about is to open my own site. A few different people that have been privately asking me what I plan to do have all suggested it. I've thought about opening my own site many, many times before. So maybe it's time.

It's not a perfect solution. The payment processors could still shut me down. It's not like you can just do whatever you want just because you have your own site. 

However, despite that, I am still considering the idea. There are a couple of things I am curious about though:

1) For you fans out there that follow my stuff and enjoy the crazy things I create. What are your thoughts and feelings about me opening my own site? Love the idea? Hate it? Would you back a kickstarter for it? Please give me details on your thoughts and feelings. I really want to understand your thoughts and concerns, which is why I didn't do this as a poll with my own preconceived options listed for you to choose from.

2) For my fellow creators, would you want the option to host your content on such a site? Should I be trying to make, in essence, the next Patreon but for adult fetish content? Or should I just do my own thing and only worry about me? Would you be interested in something like that, or are there too many such sites out there already? Again, please share your thoughts.

Well that took longer than I expected, and I'm sure I spent more time talking about censorship than about the site itself. But the point is, what are your thoughts about me opening my own site? Would you consider backing a kickstarter to open such a site?
