“I don’t know about the hottest part, but I, I just make sure Steph gets what she wants.” I said with a nervous smile.
“Oh Stephanie always gets what she wants.” Said Kristen.
“Yeah but the problem is he’s a good cook too.” Said Stephanie lightheartedly as she plopped another cheesy potato and a biscuit on her plate.
“More wine anyone?” Asked Tracy.
“Yes please.” Answered Stephanie.
“I’m pacing myself for the egg nog.” Said Torian.
“Yeah, save room for pumpkin pie too.” Said Tracy.
“Yule Log too.” Said Brent.
“Oh my God the Yule Log cake is so good, did you see it?” Stephanie asked in a hushed voice directly in my ear as the dinner gossip continued amongst the others.
“Yeah it looks good.” I said as I glanced back at her and watched her fill her wine glass nearly to the brim.
“You’ll have to sneak me an extra slice.” She whispered again before taking a sip.
