“Ummm, yes.” I said timidly and a bit surprised. “Tom, I didn’t know you smoked.”
“Well I guess we’re getting to know each other a little better aren’t we.” He said with a smirk.
“Wait, how did you know I smoked?” I asked, pleasantly amused by this turn of events.
“Because it’s smoke Stephanie, you can smell it.” He said smugly as he helped me up and led me towards the door.
“A gym guy who smokes, how ironic.” I said as I followed him outside.
“I’m really not much of a gym guy, I just wanted to do something different.” He said as he lit my cigarette for me like the complete gentleman he was turning out to be.
