Hey guys,
Here's a peek at Ancient Woodlands, which is May's collection, and throwback. Hope you like the models as much as we enjoyed sculpting them.
It was a big challenge to sculpt so much wood, leaves, and rocks and at the same time trying to keep characters with personality and appeal.
We're super happy with how this collection came out, it's one that we looked forward to doing for so many months. (Depths of Hell is also a collection one we're super pumped about, we just started sculpting those last week and it's coming along nicely so far).
The models in this collection will perfectly play in a forest adventure, where trees come to life and become creatures that could be either super helpful to adventurers or fearful enemies.
They could also be used as proxies for Sylvaneth or other types of treemen.
Anyway, here's a sneak peek of what the collection will be, we've included sizes in each model's render so that it's easier to know how big or small each model is. What do you think of that, is it something you find useful and we should keep doing?
Also, we're trying something new with the renders this time. What do you think, do you like these better than the old ones?

Just like the other guardians, Aurel was charged with protecting all the flora in the woodlands. He's gathered bits from most of the plants to strengthen his connection to them since they're the most vulnerable beings in the woodlands.

Valk is the one tasked with maintaining the balance in the Woodlands, he goes from helping the other guardians whenever necessary and controlling the populace of all the species of the forest to defending the woodland from outside threats.
Valk is just your typical wooden centaur badass, he's perfect as a medium encounter before the big boss in a forest adventure.

Oakeod The Protector is the strongest of the guardians in the Woodlands, and he only intervenes whenever there's a threat that the other guardians can't handle, and that's because whenever he comes into action the landscape tends to change, for when he moves he tends to drag roots and plants with him, altering the peace of the forest.
This epic wooden dragon was such a fun sculpt, it took a looooong time to finish but it was totally worth it. It's an idea we had for so much time in the back of our minds. We were planning on doing him as a loyalty reward, but we ended up deciding to have him be part of this collection as it is such a good it.

Bristlehart is such a badass, but I wouldn't be opposed if adventurers tried to mount him or even keep him as a pet. He can be a great way of traveling and a very good ally when defending from an unexpected ambush.
Of course, we have bases, as usual in different sizes and shapes for all your gaming needs. Is there another type or shape of base you'd like to see, though? Or something we're missing?
Feel free to leave your ideas in a comment.

Throwback Models
May's Selection of throwback models includes some older picks that have not been featured lately and several models from Forest Creatures, Swamp, and Giants Collections that pair very well with the new Ancient Woodlands.

Cheers!
