Uru'can Tribe Sneak Peek!

Comments

The mechanical gadgets bring out the character of the goblins. They are using clever (if somewhat dangerous to the user) inventions to make up for their small size so they can defeat the Big Folk. Weaklings like Goblins or Kobolds are basically at prey level on the food chain of the monster hierarchy. Sneaky traps, trick and ambushes are the only way they survive. This set is going to be fun to use. thanks for the fun. Have a great day!

the terrain here looks awesome, i will be printing it the most. really great choice on style direction.

Personally, I love the look design and playfulness of this set. The goblin on the catapult is exactly what made me grin and that is a good sign. As a future Merchant of Cast n Play I do need to look at the potential of the miniatures from a business perspective. How the monthly sets will appeal to my clients but I also need to consider your creativity and that is ultimately what matters. I love your work and your approach to the miniatures and I am certain my clients will too.

looking really fun!

Definitely glad to hear that coming from you! I've met many who are the exact opposite. Perfectly fine for them, and it is their business, but it is abrasive instead of heartwarming.

If you're using the app, try loading on a browser from your phone. The app is always buggy in my experience.

I can't get anything to load, been having a lot of issues with Patreon and my phone all of the sudden. Guess I'll see them when I get home.

Of course! it really is super helpful. We're always coming back to comments like this for future models, they give a lot of insight. We do not do what we do for ourselves, we do it for you, our supporters. We have every reason to listen to what you want and need. That said, it's very hard to please 2400+ supporters every single month, but that doesn't mean we don't try. Cheers, man!

Thank you for the polite, respectful, and kind response! I have some creators who either themselves bash critique, or their fans do. I just like to explain why I might not like something, and at least be willing to take a bit of hate if someone else thinks the same, but is a bit more nervous about being the first to speak up. I genuinely love the quality even if not the specific designs here, and generally love most of your creations! I just hope to see the quality of characterization increase as well in this case, because it will help them fit even more situations and uses, and that may drive even more interest, not only from myself, but hopefully others as well!

Thank you for the feedback, It's super helpful!

Amazing! Looking forward to it :))

Honestly only interested in two pieces from this, so I'm hoping a fuller preview will draw me in, because right now, it definitely is a skip month for me. I know not everything works for everyone, but... it just doesn't fit any of my campaigns or future plans. I generally don't like the depiction of goblins done this way, and there just isn't enough I could repurpose other than a few terrain pieces and two figures... and I already have a lot of terrain pieces from other sets that suits the same vein of purpose better. I'm not most people, definitely not in the majority, but I like non-stereotypical characters and character designs. A sophisticated goblin butler or sommelier? I'd buy that in an instant if the quality is good. One that looks like it is too angry, crazed and psychotic to avoid scary adventurers? Probably not my cup of tea if alone. A whole group of them? Doubly-so. The female ones are great! But most of the male ones make me think of them as just expendable. I know most people play gobos and kobolds that way, but I'd rather have ones that I could use for more than just murderhobo combat. Ones that have more character, who might fight if need be, but are more likely to show personality beyond 'it isn't a goblin, kill it or rob it!' That's why I love the Goblins webcomic by Ellipsis Stephens. Every character feels vibrant and alive, even the antagonists. Sure, there are a few joke PCs who get new bodies earlier in the series, but even they have a bit of personality to go with their tropes. I just don't feel that sort of character to build off of here. I get not making a story in the piece itself, so that a piece fits in more tables and sessions... but it feels like a missed opportunity to make them stereotypical cannon fodder for murderhobos.

You have outdone yourselves yet again, constantly floored by the detail you put into your miniatures. Keep it coming!
