VLOG: Drive to D&D - Episode 13

Thank you! It's been a goal of mine for a LOOOOONG time to interview every member of Avantris, it's just about finding the time. I appreciate the suggestion.

Legends of Avantris

As someone with NO interest in entrepreneurship, I would love for you to interview Rich about being a small business owner. Definitely looking forward to any BtS about the Kickstarter, but Rich's approach to running LOA as a business would be fascinating. :) And dude! I loved that jacket! When you showed up on screen wearing it, it was an immediate WHOOOO! Kelsey said she felt like a kid in the 90s again, ready for Saturday morning, and that jacket did that to me. Just straight rocket back to childhood in the early 90s.

- Hobbist Number's Guy: You need that as a badge now XD - Staying on schedule is important, but ya'll taking care of yourselves inside that schedule is just as important. - Nikkie's masterful storytelling has made Witchlight a very engaging plot. (The horror aspects are one she enjoys but can be turn-off for a variety of people, including myself.) It makes me wonder where Witchlight will land on the spectrum of LOA campaigns in the end. Skabatha: 4 XD (That is my favorite running gag from Witchlight.) - Stardust was 11 hours total for those that showed up at the initial start time of 1pm and 100% worth it. It was so cool to watch Mace behind the screen ride the waves of story beats, the return of Casey & Arya was also welcome. (I feel like we need Winnie in a full session to complete the crew of the loved ones.) (Minecraft return when? XD) I was able to show that intro to my parents and they gave it a gold star confirmation of 80s vibes. The Starfox combat flashbacks were real. I cannot wait for the expansion of the flight combat. "Pyke is 100 times cooler than I will ever be." JUST HOLD ON A SEC THERE! SIR, you are doing what many fans wish we could. Telling phenomenal stories with your friends and sharing your passions (working out, math, etc.) all the while raising a family with someone else who shares your passions. Andy is 100% cooler than Pyke. I love that all of LOA dress up during sessions. It helps with connecting the characters to each one of you. So close! (tm) XD - 35 hours of Twitch streams and 10 hours YT streams +extras. Ya'll don't understand how much we as fans appreciate just how much ya'll give to us. - Ah, yes, the mysterious booth babe Reid. (Who we also need to get behind the table again.) I'm sorry, $75 A HEAD? Absolutely not! Yas PAXU hype! Does the "whole" crew include the loved ones (Reid and Maggie as well)? If ya'll end up being able to stream from Gameholecon that would be wonderful for those who can't be there. (We LIVED in the convention discord tab during Gen-Con.) It might be a "too soon" idea but having an exclusive LOA Convention pin or item would be a fun way to promote yourselves. It is really cool to see the expansion ya'll have undergone even in the time I have been a part of LOA. (June 2023 BTW) #get-all-the-mods-to-gencon2024-especially-tuna - Having been to Brony-Con and seen how other community guests do their meet the fans stuff, they will 9 out of 10 times have a signing/handshake line after & outside a panel. Or have a space & time for that to occur. It might not be as casual as a meet-up/hang-out off convention grounds but it could be a place to start if the numbers keep growing. - YES, give us the peak behind the curtain for the Kickstarter! (Knowing what happens later I am so excited for you, Kelsey, Maggie, Nikkie, and the rest of LOA. #get-derek-in) - I love Neon Nights so much. I'm guessing that DM information sessions will take 5+ episodes easily. (Having seen episode 2, Richie being just the tech guy must have been a fun break for him.) If it's not in the listing for ideas, "the greatest mistakes DMing and what did it teach you", would be an interesting question for the crew to answer. - "LOA: behind the table", has so much potential, because not only could it include your work-outs, but Nikkie's doll passion, ya'lls gaming times, advice from you and Kels about raising Maggie and so many other things. - You called this a light episode but there was so much to cover. Rambling conversations are closer to reality so never worry about that. I would love to hear you talk more about what parenthood is like and what advice you might have for those starting out on that journey. - As always Andy, Drive to D&D is a highlight of my week. Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us.
