I can't believe it's February already! As you know, this is our 12th issue and I'm so stoked that it was shot in Turks and Caicos. We have an amazing issue (over 200 pages!) and fun vlog, bts, cinematic videos coming so check it out, and stay tuned for all the other fun drops throughout the month!
Also, polaroids are coming back this month so get ready for that announcement for a chance to get one!

Issue 12 Gratitude Rachel does a month-by-month review of Nirvana upon reaching this anniversary issue. I feel the main sentiment was gratitude for what they were able to create and be successful. Looking back at Rachel’s post and introduction to the issue, she is giving thanks to herself, the team and to the subscribers. Many people including myself take many things for granted. With all the crazy shit going on lately it easy to get distracted and anxious about where the world is headed. Many things are out of our control. As I have typed out some of these posts and sharing some of my images and thoughts on Instagram, I have rediscovered having gratitude. By showing and sharing my art and opening myself up, I have felt better about how much I have in my life. It has also promoted some catharsis and social interaction and reciprocity with some of my friends/followers. This positive reinforcement then comes back to me and improves my outlook/positivity and well-being. I believe that gratitude has a symbiotic relationship with positivity, which I talked about in my last post. The ability to be aware of the accomplishments and good fortune in one’s life helps with self-esteem and results in a positive outlook. Gratitude is a gift freely given and works on the self and with social interactions and is very rewarding.

However after a year I’d like to see more: more diversity in models ( tall, svelte white girls are great but doesn’t have the monopoly of beauty) more diversity in location ( I love travelling with you in those grandiose places - especially this year- but originality would get brownie points with me) more experimenting in photo shoots ( For me « money heist » is on of the best. Every month I hope to find a photo shoot with extravagant make-up , body paint, accessories... ) so needless to say that I can't wait to discover the next issue « body shop »
