Nirvana Issue 10 - Cappadocia!

Post Script – Power of the Feminine Finally, I am reminded of the power of the Feminine from the story of Arthur Bremer. He attended a political rally in Ottawa, Canada in the late 1960’s. He planned for this day for 3 years. He worked his way through the crowd so he could get close to the main speaker, President Nixon. He had his masculine resolve and slipped his hand into his pocket to reach for his gun. As he was pulling it out, somebody bumped into his arm. He was stunned, and it was a small, older woman who said, “Oh Dear! I am SO sorry! Are you OK?”. At that time he felt a connection and a concern for him. He broke out of his state and felt his mission was sabotaged. The feminine energy and love thwarted this assassination attempt. Some may say this a stretch to interpret the story this way, but Bremer was captured a few years later after he shot George Wallace. He gave up this information and the story of his life. He had a dysfunctional family, abused as a child, and no real female relationship in his life. His assassination attempt was not politically motivated, but solely for fame.

Issue 10– Power of the Feminine Part 2 After learning more about the power of the Feminine, I decided to make a Part 2 to this post. Some interpret the Yin-Yang symbol to also mean the interplay of Order and Chaos. Masculine is associated with order and the feminine with chaos. I originally felt this was unfair or misogynistic. But after thinking about it, I just had my own negative bias as to what chaos truly means in this scenario. The ultimate goal of the masculine archetype is to make women happy. We do this through many means, but basically it boils down to be a provider of resources. This could be wealth, good genetics, or stability/reliability. We, as men, compete with each other for the attention of the feminine whether consciously or unconsciously. We learn, build, create, earn money, increase our social status for our basic needs but also to have a chance to pass on our genetic material. The feminine, on the other hand, has the power of rejection. If the masculine is rejected, chaos starts to form in his ego. He may choose to feel inadequate and live dejected or change and improve. The change is the chaos in the masculine life where he usually prefers order. Change for some can be difficult but necessary. So, the whole reason I started the self-discovery journey was to improve myself. I want to be a better person and grow into a joyful, rewarding life. I needed to evaluate and analyze myself to see my shortcomings and how to improve. Again, it is having a growth mind set, and being open and active to new ideas and seeing what life holds. I had a good friend die of brain cancer two years ago at the age of 45. We drifted apart after he divorced. I found it sad that he was only concerned about his own bucket list and not connecting and leaving a legacy with his children. He was resistant to the feminine all his life. He was rigid in his thinking and extremely goal oriented and shunned any self-introspection. His narcissism and inability to grow and change still impact his children today. So, is chaos really a bad thing?

I find this issue quite tasteful... I love the colorful flavor... the accents and costumes provide an amazing cultural zest that leaves me wanting to be there... the Models, Martha and Ola are beautiful and sensually on target, and the art work is superb. In my humble opinion, It’s not about quantity but quality.. and Rachel... you are absolutely stunning... you get more refined and strikingly gorgeous with every issue...
