We were driving in Virginia one year ago when I first heard this song on the radio. Yes sometimes those hits hit my ear very late. So I decided I need to do it. Original is too low for me so I had to lift the instrumental several keys higher. So after I did - all the instruments started sounding too thin and no bass anymore. So I recorded some piano, strings, bass, snare drum and bass drum on top. Tried to mix it in so it would not sound too obvious. Still not fully happy with the arrangement, but I think that's maximum what I could squeeze out of it. And OH how much I want to sing it with real orchestra!
